The Escape Key

Any self respecting IT manager knows that it is a basic responsibility to provide your less-than-a-year-old son an old keyboard to play with and drag around the living room by the ps-2 cable.

Lest you think I stopped there, let me assure you that I did not. No, I dutifully pointed out the location of the Escape key, the Enter key, and the Space Bar to my young son, probably four or five times over the course of a week.

Imagine our surprise last night when Noah is playing with his keyboard and I ask him, "Noah, where is the Escape key?" and he reaches over and presses it. Sensing we're on a roll, I ask Noah where the Space Bar is, and as if he's performing an encore, he presses that key as well.

So, while Melissa is sitting there on the couch with a look of amazement on her face, I'm thinking to myself, "That's my boy!"

Strange Quote

Melissa heard the strangest quote yesterday. Apparently a man "died from injuries sustained during a suicide attempt."

Does that mean that the life insurance company has to pay out now?

Too Early!

Melissa woke up this morning @ 5:30 am and could sleep no longer. It wouldn't have been so bad if I had been able to go back to sleep, but no. So I lay in bed until 6:30, then gave in and got up. Thank the Lord for coffee; it certainly makes getting up more fun.

Blog consolidation

Being the tech geek that I am, I have been playing with several different blog platforms, but not really posting with any regularity. I plan to rectify this and to see if I can talk Melissa into posting as well. In the next week, I hope to make this the more-oft-updated home for our personal blogs, and to place references to this blog on all those other blogs I have scattered among multiple platforms.
